That must have been a tough watch Fiji were their own worst enemies, too sloppy. Swing low bores me senseless, it must have been excruciating live.
Awful - the number of England supporters made it feel as if you were at Twickenham. Sitting at the airport now waiting for the flight back to Gatwick - 30 minutes delay, compared with 3 hours on the outward journey, is fine by me
Wales didn't score after the 57th minute. Argentina scored 17 points AFTER the 57th minute. The style of rugby offered up by Ireland, NZ, SA and France is what Wales should be aiming to emulate - not kick, chase, kick, chase and then wonder why the opposition isn't out on their feet.
I detest the constant up and under, the kick and chase need to be accurate and usually aren't. They may as well just throw the ball to the opposition. Look at the accuracy of Ireland in general, incredible. And that's 95% of the game, accuracy and intensity. When you're that dominant then the spaces will start to appear. Ireland's attack doesn't have the magic of NZ players, for example, but it's accurate and every player knows exactly what they're doing and where they should be. And they don't drop the ball! Those 30+ phases at the end of the NZ game were amazing and most teams would have lost to that accuracy but NZ's defence was phenomenal on the day. It's not "rocket science", as it were, but the basics done impeccably. I wonder if the Welsh players capable of that level though, no matter who's coaching.
So the ABs are through comfortably, as expected. The Welsh players must be kicking themselves even more after seeing that. NZ are going to need a better kicker though, that was poor. Looking forward to tonight's game. Will be closer than last night's game but I expect SA to steam roller them comfortably.
Kicking our possession straight back to the opposition most of the time, really frustrating to watch......
Well that was a dirge to watch. SA looked sapped from the France game and England tried to bore their way through another game with just penalties and drop goals. SA need to go up a few gears for the final.
Wales v Barbarians... Venue: Principality Stadium, Cardiff Date: Saturday, 4 November Kick off: 14:30 GMT Live on S4C and via iPlayer. Alun Wynn captain's the Baas, with Tips also playing.
Tried watching the start but the S4C "app" is "crashing" on my TV and impossible to log into the S4C website. Ahhh, the wonders of modern technology. It's the future you know
What a strange injury. I wonder if that opposition player did take the ball! Costewlow out with a double injury, leaving Wales very thin on the ground for a 10. Time to shake the overseas lineage tree!
