I had a number of dealings with him when he was CFO ….. not a guy I have any time for, and even less respect for ….
I hope this is like a Chairman's vote of confidence in a football manager i.e. he will be gone by the end of next week
Problem is that it’s rumoured that Roger (I hate the Regions) Lewis is pulling Ieuan’s strings ….. and Lewis and SP are as tight as a drum
Nothing would surprise me - he’s very much a WRU man, hence his support for Roger Lewis and his (in my opinion) lukewarm support for Martyn Phillips
Phillips has resigned: “It is with a huge amount of regret that I have decided to hand in my resignation," said Phillips. "I have always had the best interests of Welsh rugby at the heart of my every action and thought, but have come to the conclusion that it is now time for someone else to lead the way." In my view, and based on my direct experience of him, good riddance
It's going to be very interesting. Gats starting with old heads, tried and tested and will no doubt give everything. Not sure about Dyer as Gats' normal style is not to play wide and I can't see him piling into the breakdown. Who knows though, hope I'm pleasantly surprised! Ireland start big favourites and as much as I'm hoping for a fairytale, I just can't see Wales winning. We should at least get some self respect back. Can't wait p.s.
That was the worry with Gats coming back. Steady the ship at least but going back rarely works out that well.
