Annoyingly I don't get BBC2 Wales, only BBC1 Wales with Virgin. I would have liked to have recorded the game. Watching a bit online now, I may have to watch the Lions build up at the same time!
Canada are one of the poorest international sides I’ve seen in a long time …. They make the Italian rugby team look World Beaters 40-5 after 37 mins
He looked in agony. I damaged my PCL a year last Christmas, took over 8 months to recover fully - but I’m almost twice Halfpenny’s age
Very happy with that performance. The squad is looking super talented, i can't see anything but a lion's test series win at the moment
I thought that the Sigma Lions were pretty ordinary. The BIL will need sterner opposition before the Test Series. The Bokke will be strong and determined to win the series. That said, the BIL are multi-talented. Play to our strengths, keep 15 men on the field ‘at all times’ and they can win.
I realise the opposition will increase in quality as the tour progresses but we have the talent to succeed. I think Gatland has a good balance in the coaching team and i just feel it's in our favour. Three Guinness may have clouded my judgement
Things are not going well.... [link] "The British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa has been placed under further threat after one of the touring group's members tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday. It was the first positive case for the Lions since they arrived in South Africa, and their management confirmed that the person, and four close contacts including two players, have been placed in isolation at the team hotel. As it stands, their tour match against the Sharks on Wednesday night in Johannesburg is still going ahead, though with a time delay, as they await the results of PCR tests conducted on the entire squad." "The Lions have already had one tour match postponed, against the Bulls on Saturday, after the Gauteng side recorded five positive cases. That game could be moved to Cape Town later in the month. South Africa's squad, meanwhile, has been hard hit by the virus, with their second Test against Georgia on Friday called off on Wednesday, with 12 cases in their camp and four in Georgia's." It's starting to sound like a fiasco. I really would have expected better precautions to have been taken all round.
The Boks will have had one game in 20 months before the series! Saying that, if it can go ahead I'm sure it will. Maybe they could rearrange it for next year though.
