Been watching the final of the Olympics, and i have seen how skilfull he is but gets shoved off the ball far too easily for me, we all know how physical the prem is i just wonder how he'll cope, think we gotta bring him on real slow and keep him away from the more physical teams otherwise he could get ruined, also think it wouldnt be a bad idea if he started dineing out with Lukaku !!!!

I'm not saying this to WUM, but he had a very poor game, in my opinion.
Had a golden chance to score right at the death, too.
His slight frame doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be dispossessed easily in the Premier League, though.
The same criticism was leveled at Modric before he played for us and he adjusted to it very well.
Given Oscar's skill level and the experience of those that he'll be learning from, I doubt it'll be a problem for the Brazilian, though most South Americans take some time to adjust.
As you say, keep him out of the firing line against the Stokes of this world, get him adjusted off the pitch and he'll pick the rest up over time.

I hear he had a good game with exception to the sitter he missed. I didn't actually watch it, just what I hear. He had a very good tournament in previous matches though so not too worried

Brazil were pretty impressive for most of the tournament, despite starting several games badly.
Oscar was good in previous games, but not in this one, though he was far from alone in that respect.
Rafael had a mare, for a start.
Fair enough, like I said, didn't see it. Not too worried about his size, that's all a load of nonsense in the modern game. Best player in the world is like a daisy.
Had a bad game, no, not brilliant but not bad. You have to look at the Brazillian teams performance as a whole, and at times it was average but mostly poor. It would be hard for any player to shine under those conditions, but two or three of them managed to stand out as doing their best. Oscar was one of them. He passed the ball well and covered a lot of ground, at times it was hard to tell where he was supposed to be playing, indeed in the second half he was collecting the ball from the goalkeeper just outside the area and then popping up in the penalty area seconds later. His movement looked good and did not receive the return pass from team mates when a lot of times he was the better option. He does look frail but can tackle as witnessed in previous games. The lad will be fine in the prem. No worries.
OkeyDokey---I think you've summed it up well! OK -he hasn't been exposed to the rough and tumble of the PL yet, but he looks bright enough to get in there and prove himself! I think he'll deliver in a big way!
Looks a tremendous player to me, just what the doctor ordered. Can't wait to see him and Ramires and Mata together. Oscar looks like the playmaker we are desperate for.Hope that proves to be the case.
Is it only me who can't help thinking of dust bins and Sesame Street when I here the name Oscar? Surely dust bin lids banging together samba style should be seen at Stamford Bridge. If I was a bit more cultured I'd of thought of a certain gay Irishman, but somehow fans in Chelsea shirts with long foppish hair and cigarette holders cutting down the opposing fans with acerbic wit sounds very disturbing.
Saw Brazil live at St James' Park against Honduras. Oscar looked very impressive in that game, but the star of the show was Neymar, one of those players who made the whole stadium stand up any time he got the ball, great skill, speed and ball control. Oscar looked comfortable on the ball, full of skill etc. if a little light weight.
I'm not sure if you guys have pursued him any further, but Hulk looked absolutely dire! Ball control was shocking, off the ball movement was obvious and easy to mark (as well as looking a little lazy) he's strong and fast but appeared to have very little else!

Add Hazard to those three and all looks rosy to me. We do need a more solid defensive midfielder though, Mikel is too much of a liability, in that I mean liable to be good and bad in the same proportions.
