But some of it was serious **** stirring maybe they should of just banned certain members instead of shutting it down anyway its gone now and people should get they're asses on here
The main forum had gone too much up it's own a*se, too many people 'in the know' and too much abuse for anyone who failed to agree with the masses.
Hi, first time on this forum. I think the biggest kick in the teeth about closing the official forum is not letting JTS know. He has raised (and I've contributed) lots of money for the young players UTG
Could see it coming in all honesty...that's why I put a thread up there some weeks ago about 'Where would you go if............................?' I don't really blame posters over there for their anger...I'm still seething at what's happened to our club. But I agree about the 'in' or 'out' mob. The thing is many have already gone to the alternative forum (I've popped in already) and the club won't be able to moderate or control that at all!
Hi Fabba, and welcome That's the problem with the club at the moment - too much arrogance and a disdain for the ordinary fans who are the lifeblood of our club. People such as you and JTS who have done so much for the team discarded without so much as a thank you. They have some serious trust rebuilding to do.
I agree, that was disgusting. He is trying his best to do something for this club, unlike the ****ers in charge! Welcome BTW, to all new members. Keep coming, we are a good bunch for the most part
Hello, Probably one of many that will be moving over here after the OF was shut down without warning. Didn't really want to rant in my first post but is hard not to. While I can understand the need to prevent so called 'libellous' posts being used against the club, I don't see this as a reason to completely shut the forum down. Surely it's the job of the moderators to moderate said posts?! The thread that I imagine they were alluding too was deleted a couple of weeks back anyway so I can't imagine that's the main reason. I wasn't a board basher but lately it is hard to be anything but. the thing that irks me most about it though is all the hard work that Jon the Stripe has been doing with the Fan's Forum Sponsors Club (FFS) is no inaccessible and it could no potentially collapse due to this. I have attended the last few FFS get togethers and it's great to meet like minded people and I have made a few new Gas mates from it too. I don't think many of us exchange details as we had the forum to contact each other. Another thing is that one of the Fan's Directors, Brian Seymour-Smith was easily accessible through the OF. I do not want to have to sign up to twitter just to be able to contact one person as quite frankly it is an awful thing. Sorry for the rant. I'm usually quite cheery UTG
Thanks for the welcome guys. There were some good topics there which I'm sure is true here too. If ever it was going to be a problem with legal action is was during the TRASH fiasco. Some of the stuff then was really boarderline. thanks again ppl
