I've only just found out the score of today's game, considering how we've played recently, how did the lads play? Did we deserve it? Was we lucky? Did we play good football? Opinions greatly appreciated.
Vast improvement, a real team effort, tackles that Bruce Snr would have been proud of. I miss the 60's and 70's game.
I watched it online but the atmosphere seemed to be rocking at the stadium, the fans appreciated the effort by all the players, Bruce should be commended for that too since the timing of his announcement to stay and not go to Toon galvanized everyone. What we did today was take advantage of a team out of form instead of waste it. Spurs when we played them were worse than they are now and we chucked it away. The clear pen not being awarded may have proven critical for a lesser team, but instead they showed character, I never felt Everton would win this game. We looked up for it throughout. Feels like a fresh slate, let's hope so
Has anyone mentioned I scored a goal Rover?? Well I did. Cracker it was. Back to goal flicked it over Jagielka and volleyed it in. Honest.
Effort from the team was fantastic how it should be every week, the crowd responded and got behind them. Regarding performances the Keeper/defence did excellent for all Everton's Possession they didn't have many shots on target, the midfield ran and chased Everton right through the game and the forwards both outstanding Hernandez looked strong and pacey, the best i have seen him play
Todays game reminded me of the Liverpool home game last season in terms of performance......TOP DOLLAR!!
