<applause><applause>.......Hell of a post there Classy, and spot on! if the establishment get their way enslavement it will be, but time surely must be at hand for the British sheep to wake up, to whats going on!............... <ok>

Yes dragon and thats why we now have our own government the time will shortly be at hand where we can say our farewells to each other and jump ship before the ship takes us all down with it,

Top post classy i must say <ok>

You would think by now that the penny has dropped with the masses but alas, thanks to the Brainwashing of the media most are only concerned about who wins pop idol, big brother and who ****s who in corrie and eastenders !!

I must add prem football ino the equation as well <ok>

I actually think the opening ceremony had a deeper meaning the more i think about it,Danny Boyle may well have stirred something up there, showing people what we once were and also showing that it was actually the hard work of the people themselves that made it all happen! empire would only have happened with the collective help of our forfathers.

We should be proud of what we have acheived as a country and we should also be wary that we are not lulled into a false sense of security !!

I love & respect all things British , including the Union Jack . Even as a 12 year old boy 1n 1965 I remember being angry when the Canadian Red Ensign was replaced by the Canadian Maple Leaf flag . It's grown on me a bit in the 47 years but would still prefer the Ensign

i personally detest the union jack myself , Y ddraig goch for me i am afraid

Funny ... Great Britain is one of the most respected places in the world , except if your from one of the member countries .... " You won't know what you had till it's gone "

Seabreeze on this island we mostly refer to ourselves as Welsh,Scottish,N irish or English . Even the english are now beginning to find their englishness and are beginning to think in the singular as opposed the collective. devolution to the celtic nations was the best thing that has happened to this island, its time now for the english to have their own parliament and a say over their own affairs.

Off the " Island " most see you ALL & respect you ALL as British , rightly or wrongly .... which was kind of my original post Mabon ... your like a pitbull with clouded eyes when it comes to this subject & this is basically about sports ... I'd hate to see your comments on " Great Britain " in general , never mind sport .

I would probably get locked in the Tower if they knew how i feel about britain as a collective

And now for something completely different! I'm getting a bit worried about Breezy!!! His posts are getting too good!.............. <laugh>

Yes but Macca is a knob, can you all just please agree, and it is a far more important concern than the state of the nation!

Can't argue with that. The amount of people - American, Australian - iv spoken to who have asked me where in England is Wales is unbelievable! When people ask my nationality I always reply welsh, never British.
