Four very good points. I can't believe anyone would seriously put Tony on a par with Flabbio in any way, shape or form.
Without Tony Fernandes I feel we are on the way to administration and a slide down the league to division 1 aka Portsmouth style. His only mistake and hindsight is a wonderful thing is to have faith in Mark Hughes who promised so much but delievered so little. He left him to manage the footballing side of the club giving him funds to sign players of his choice which is quite refreshing really as he showed loyalty when so many chairman dont. He then realised things werent getting better and then took on Harry who is doing his best with a squad many of which are overpaid prima donnas. TF has my full backing even if we go down and it will be disasterous if a small minority force him out
Can't understand your purpose here Danish. Points of information are necessarily pedantic by nature. May not be 'becoming' to you but that wasn't my purpose. It was to inform the thread in general which is why it wasn't submitted as a direct reply to you. Whilst you have every right to discuss you opinion on Tony Fernandes, I wonder whether on reflection you'll feel that a thread for Rs fans to reiterate their support for our Chairman was the appropriate place to do it. Tell me to get off your case but have to say you seem unusually belligerent today.
I can only echo most people's sentiments on this thread. If, somehow, the opinions on here do manage to get to TF then I hope he takes a bit of heart from them. Danish, I really can't see how you can complain about the man and compare him to Flavio? As far as I can tell TF has made 2 mistakes, one was Mark Hughes, the other is to be too open and readily available on social media. He has had 3 manager's under his stewardship, one of which he inherited. All 3 have been backed in the transfer market like no manager has ever been backed at QPR or any other club of our stature come to that. I think most would agree we weren't looking great under Warnock and a change was necessary, at the time Mark Hughes seemed like a good choice. An international manager, huge playing experience, took Blackburn and Fulham into Europe and very respectable league positions. For one reason or another, it never worked out, TF gave Hughes every opportunity and allowed him to bring in all the players he wanted. It was not Tony's fault that Hughes and Warnock both brought in players that appear to have come just for a final payday. As far as we're aware he backs the manager and lets him get on with their job, he doesn't interfere with team selection and bad mouth any of the players in public, something Briatore did on a regular basis. On top of this, he has a short-term and long-term vision for the club that includes a new training ground and possibly a new stadium. I've been going to QPR for over 25 years, I remember the great times of the late 80's and early 90's but I've never been more excited about a period for our club that right now. If you think TF is doing something wrong or going about it the wrong way, then I can't possibly imagine what you want from a chairman??
In all honesty the criticism of TF is absurd. The people who are doing it either have extremely short memories or are, basically, very stupid.
