Actually we have a very good democracy. If you don't agree I suggest you try living in Russia, Belarus, Libya or some other comparable ****hole authoritarian dictatorship. If FIFA was a British based organisation it would fail so many trsts under corporate governance rules, transparency and disclosure rules, anti-corruption legislation, it would probably even be in breach of the companies act. Its only because its based in Switzerland, which has probably the most lax corporate governance rules in the developed world that it is allowed to exist. I mean, I think a Swiss investigator said FIFA was corrupt, but at Swiss law there was no offence because it was only 'a little bit corrupt'. Similar to the way in which one can be 'a little bit pregnant' I suppose.

Oh, and as further example, at least 50% of the candidates for Prime Minister weren't caught handing out envelopes of money to voters.

Well, my point was more to the bizarre voting structures that have over taken what used to be (or seem) a little more orthodox system. And as for the Cameron/Conservative love in, I preferred the smiling sinking we had under labour, at least the nhs nurses would smile at you while you lay dying. Ho hey.

At least the coalition got one thing right: Hight tuition fees. If they could just bring in sterilaisation for the under class and St Godders could get himself a season ticket.

Does anyone else think the Mail has gone a little lefty lately?

They should offer sterilization in return for two bottles of white lightning, that would save the country billions!
Not sure on the tuition fees, certainly don't want a student demo on this thread, its already been possibly the dullest thread I've made.
Might go & see what Alan Sugars up to.
