Just wonder how many of the 3000 extra bods in the crowd today will bother going again in the near future?

Apparently, according to the rumours doing the rounds, Celina warmed up of his own accord, expecting to be brought on. It would explain why he was warming up on the spot for about 20 minutes, about 20 yards from the bench and constantly looking over, expecting to be brought on and how McCarthy avoided looking at him. Could also explain how McCarthy left it for so long, not just a two finger gesture to the supporters, but more a response to Celina's presumptuousness.

Difficult situation to judge. You can hardly blame him for showing the passion and willingness to be brought on to make the difference, which his talents would have enabled (and demonstrated by the teasing cross he put in towards the end which should have been scored). However, viewing it from McCarthy's perspective, it could be viewed as arrogant, unprofessional behaviour which shows disrespect to you coach and your teammates.

That's annoyed me about Bart and our GKs in general for years. Think it's more about the coach and tactics than the player though, if we had a coach who wanted our GK to distribute it quicker it's something quite easy to change!!

I like that about Celina, seemed really hungry to come on and make a difference. But no, it must be better to show who’s boss even if it hurts your teams chances. I’m convinced if he’d started over Sears or at least was given 45 we would’ve won that game. I thought Garner was poor, Waggy gave the ball away a number of times too. If there’s a positive to take from the performance Chambers and Webster had a really good game. We need to be better against Derby that’s for sure!

Went the game yesterday and was thoroughly underwhelmed, we fielded four strikers who collectively couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo not that anyone tried very often, this was mainly due to a useless midfield providing pathetic service to the front men,
Webster was strong but his distribution bloody awful, Iorfa was frighteningly bad in the first half, Connolly anonymous, Bishop was clearly not ready to start a game, and Ward tried to get something going down our right. All things considered coupled to a poor referee it was pathetic in front of a good crowd, isn't that just like Town.
As for the Celina situation it was obvious to a fool that he needed to get on after an hour or so but instead got only a few minutes in which time we looked much more lively up front, he put over a delightful. cross which should been put away but the goalbound header was deflected by a defenders arm, a clear penalty which the ref and lino managed not to see.
Boxing Day fixture, big crowd, poor football.

I thought that too, it's not hard to instruct the keeper to get the ball going quickly.
