Agree with your last sentence. But if you are serious about the rest then you must admit it is an enormous exaggeration. Only ourselves to blame? I never saw anybody on here getting carried away either, most of us think top half is good progresion, top 7 is great and bottom half is poor. I saw none of this through the roof expectation you're on about.

 

I really don't think bottom half is a poor season for us. Yeah after the first 12 games it would be but our team is a mid table side.
I read lots of people prior to these two games predicting 2 comfortable wins and slating pardew for aiming for 30 points by christmas
Yes huge over exaggeration. But i've always felt that when we're playing well the home crowd is our best weapon, but it does turn quickly when we're slightly off the pace.
Especially in games we think we should win

Disagree really. We finished 12th last year and our team this year is far superior now and in a league with enough beatable teams to assure we do better than mid table.

 

Bolton will win simple as that! are arses have fallen out and it's written all over the players faces. This week we'll hear the annoying up for the fight bollocks from players not good enough for the team like Perch and Shola. For **** sake Pardew the team picked itself until we lost and after that you've gone mad. Just play our best players ffs.

 

Our side is better but we haven't adressed the key issues from last year. We lost the best LB in the world and replaced him with a player who it appears pardew has no confidence in.
We are threadbare at the back and with Taylor out we lack an aerial presence. And I do not feel confident with Willo back there.
In january at the moment we will have no striker.

 

This is a poor effort, even by 606 standards.

 

Enrique wasn't the world's best left back, he was good but not the best by a long stretch. You're correct that he wasn't replaced though. Yes we haven't addressed key issues from last year with regards to depth but we have improved the team's overall play and brought in some players lightyears ahead of those we had last year.

If you're admitting yourself that our side is better now, then why do you consider a bottom half finish to be alright when we finished at the top of the bottom half last season?

 

I think our starting line up is better but our defense is weaker.
Same as last year in terms of expectations for me. To survive and build for next year.
