His farther said he wasnt religious and he cant see how religion had anything to do with it. Doesnt mean it had nothing to do with religion but when you have 35,000 killed, 100,000 wounded and 150,000 shootings per year even if religion had something to do with this one incident thats really not the larger issue here.

Its the largest one in modern history. It would depend on how you wanted to define it. Are you talking a single shooter, are you including acts committed by people who were not soldiers but in a time of war, are you talking massacres of Native Americans, towns killing hundred of African Americans etc. Things like the Lawrence Massacre, or the Colfax Massacre killed hundreds of people in a few hours. In 1921 upwards of 300 African Americans were killed in Tulsa by a combination of hangings and shootings over the course of a day. Its all how you want to define it.

They are saying he called up the police while it was happening and pledged allegiance to ISIS also the FBI had investigated him.
I read that it was hours before the police entered the club. I suppose there was a risk a policeman might get shot.
