    OK - I admit it - I was there

See the lady by the trolley bus with a baby in her arms,...... well that's not me. I am actually in the pushchair next to William and his mother by the no entry sign, although I didn't know him at the time.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto were at the bar drinking when in walks a cowboy who yells, "Who's white horse it that outside?" The Lone Ranger finishes off his whiskey, slams down the glass, turns around and says, "It's my horse. Why do you want to know?" The cowboy looks at him and says, "Well, your horse is standing out there in the sun and he don't look too good." The Lone Ranger and Tonto run outside and they see that Silver is in bad shape, suffering from heat exhaustion. The Loan Ranger moves his horse into the shade and gets a bucket of water. He then pours some of the water over the horse and gives the rest to Silver to drink. It is then he notices that there isn't a breeze so he asks Tonto if he would start running around Silver to get some air flowing and perhaps cool him down. Being a faithful friend, Tonto starts running around Silver. The Lone Ranger stands there for a bit then realizes there is not much more he can do, so he goes back into the bar and orders another whiskey. After a bit a cowboy walks in and says, "Who's white horse is that outside?" Slowly the Lone Ranger turns around and says, "That is my horse, what is wrong with him now?" "Nothing," replies the cowboy, "I just wanted to let you know that you left your Injun running."

Globe in Albany Road for me. Saw the Guns of Naverone several times. When I was a bit older I sneaked in to watch Women In Love, X rated, however I got scared the cops were coming to eject me for being under age, so I sneaked back out again <laugh>

I did like the Capitol in Queen Street - saw The Sound of Music there.

Also I remember there was a special showing of 2001 Space Odessy in the Park Theatre next to the Park Hotel, that was good

I'll help to bring the average age of this group down a tad by being 57 but cinemas were never my thing outside of Turktown

One building I did get thrown out of regularly in the late 70's was the Palaise De danse in Bridgend which was the last town where our supporters coach was welcome after travelling home from Ninian Park or an away game
Going to Neath or the next village on the M4 would always end badly <yikes>

Saw several films in the Plaza and the Park and the Globe and the Monaco but most were in the Capitol and the ABC which I think was then the Odeon?
Recall queuing from by the old electricity board showrooms to see Jaws on the ABC.

Opposite the Capital (Capitol) Cinema, were two cinemas...one was The Odeon (Gaumont), and The other was The Olympia as I recall!. At the bottom of St Mary Street were two seedy holes The Gala, and The Prince Of Wales (where The Lone Ranger appeared....think I said Gala)! :emoticon-0103-cool:

<party>Think I saw BFB at The Gala!<party>Perverted Wannky!

The Grand in Pentre (nothing Grand about it) was the cinema for me; 52 now watching city since I was 10. I remember they would let anyone in so watched all the Bruce Lee films in the 70's. Also remember running all the way home after watching "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" absolutely crapped em only about 11 at the time.
