I agree on that point fair play to him but there is nothing he does not copy is all i'm saying. If that makes him clever then fair call, imho it makes him a fraud.

Except for 99% of the lyrics on the tracks.

The hooks etc. I agree but that's pop. Pop is where the money is. Too many suckers in the world.

It's the hooks that matter though if you are genuine, yes everyone does it at sometime, including Queen, when they took a hook from Chic, but that was understandable considering their bass played for them if i'm correct. But then everyone ripped off Chic's unique style at the time.

Ed Sheeran was absolute ****e at Glastonbury imho.

Another rip off, the list is endless...

He was **** at Glastonbury. He's not a festival musician, and it showed.

Arenas he's very good. Don't get me wrong I'm not a big fan. I just like the fact he actually plays instruments and uses loop pedals.

I went to the02 for the Mrs birthday present and a couple of days without the kids!

His loop pedals, what's that all about, because when he ****s up it just goes on and on and on and on.

Musically, there's always been a fine line between influence, inspiration and plagiarism. All musicians are influenced by what went before, it's impossible not to be.

All creative musicians take inspiration from those they listened to and admired when they were learning. The very best then take parts from all their different inspirations and use that to create their own style.

lol.... I like Ed... seems a nice down to earth guy who isn't a prick.

His musics alright but i don't really listen to music that much

At least he writes his own lyric and plays his own guitar.

Presumably brbs issue is that he's given too much credit?

You **** a loop pedal up it doesn't go on and on, it clashes and literaly sounds like frying pans hit together.

Looping is a hard thing to get right.

Brb is just pissed off because he doesn't get any credit for wasting his time running this place....

Its the age old issue.
I can respect him as an artist, because he can play instruments, and writes his own music etc.
So he is a musician in the strictest sense and he has had lots of success to congrats to him, even though I personally am not a fan of his music.

Where as douchebags like One Direction, who can hold half a note and wouldn't know a musical bar if it smashed them over the head and are just a packaged, commercialised wet dream for teenage girls? I cannot stand them sorts of "artists".

Don't get me wrong I am not a bad singer myself, and if at 16, someone had come along as said, "I got three other lads here, wanna be in some ****ty boyband and made a few million quid?" I would jump at the chance.
Not mad at them so much as I am mad at the lackwits who buy their music.
