MON is not the answer for me, I love and respect the man far too much and I'd just hate to see one bad word against him which would inevitably arrive once we lost a game.
We need to start looking for someone young and dynamic. I know this isn't the way to do it but we need someone who can bring the best out of the players we have already, and another Mr 4-4-2 isn't going to do it with the likes of Drinkwater, James, Knockaert, Marshall, Schlupp and Nugent. I'm still rooting for Pearson, but his approach is so old-fashioned he might as well be called 'Colonel Pearson' or something like that. I'd love us to go for someone like Chris Powell. But I wouldn't argue with O'Neil either.
I want NP still, i think he is a top manager but we are just out of form - it happens. If we do replace him though, i think we need a strong personality a la Roy Keane (but not Roy Keane), or the di canio sort of type. There is not many of them around though.
What would he be able to do with this club if he came in now ? I doubt he´d be any better than NP & he´s lost the plot. Still can´t believe how the season has panned out & with Hull 2nd aswell I can´t see NP being at LC next season even IF we make the P.O´s this & I also can´t see MO`N coming back. I think he´ll take time out of football tbh. KS will be gone, AK aswell & it´ll be back to the drawing board for another season in the championship. On another note, does an one know when THE STONE ROSES & KASABIAN are going to bring out their new albums ?
Swansea - Wigan ... and I think our owners do - a 'successful' football in a city of our size and with the rural numbers added should be able to sustain Premier league football and gates of over 40,000 - so I think there is lots more to be gained than we have already achieved
