Well I certainly think taking Barton out for Derry would be a good move. Someone who will give 100% and isnt scared to tackle.

Helguson should also be back for the Everton game, but I cant help but think its too little too late. That seems to be the case during matches aswell. We start playing when there is too little time left.

As they say, throwing money around doesnt guarantee success, and imo we have bought some really awful players who just cant cut it. I would have liked to stick with our NPC team, but they were ageing - unlike yours and Swansea who were much younger than ours. I think the games v Bolton, Wigan, and even Everton which we won proved that it was probably a step too far.

Agree. Very well said canary IMO youre spot on. In Norwich case you could have add Lamberts influence on their success. If QPR get on same kind of fighting spirit that Norwich and Swansea have had i would put 10000 pounds on our staying up immediately. But that is a big IF and im worried they get that attitude on when it is too late. Talking about Holt ,he surely has shown his doubters how to do it. Probably next season when he thinks too much about himself he would be a lazy useless twat as he looks but until then he is a very good premier league striker.

In no way was that a great save, he couldnt have got out of the way if he tried, 100% of keepers at any level would have saved it as it was impossible to move out of the way in time.

I seriously doubt he will! Hes the spirit of the side, and hes takes a lot of pride in playing for us. Even when he was on the bench for a bit, he had no problems, and said he'd do whatever the manager needed him to do. True servant and champion of the club!

Why does everyone assume Barton is unpopular with the rest of the players? Granted he's been crap in many games but Derry has been even worse imo since the first few games and can't physically keep up in a midfield four.

It's like being given a wish, you'd ask for more wishes!

SWP has to be dropped. What on earth was he doing in the middle of the pitch when his only (supposed) quality is speed on the wing? He'd only have been there under instruction from the manager.

Barton not only needs to be dropped he has to leave this club. Effing and Jeffing at players when he has just given yet another soft ball away sums up what I have always thought he was - a bully and a coward. The sooner he is sold off or given away the better.

Short game - everyone was guilty of really sloppy passing, especially the easy stuff. How many times did we just punt the ball to a Fulham player? To use a tennis reference, you don't mind being beaten if you put up a really good fight in the rally only to lose out to a fantastic passing shot and you hold your hands up when the other player keeps throwing aces at you, but the worst thing is to lose a game through double faults and un-forced errors. That is what did us against Fulham, our loss was completely our own making. Poor set up, shape all wrong, playing out of position, woeful passing any more I've missed?

The crowd was very quiet, even before the goal and the sending off. We only started to make some noise with 10 minutes to go.

Sorry I couldn't reduce this to one point, far too much went wrong on Saturday to blame just one thing.

play at home with 12 men, by the time the ref notices one would of been sent off and then it would be 11 against 11

My positive suggestion, for what it's worth is for the fans to get 100% behind the players and the manager, and give them some support instead of booing them as they go off.

Might of been said before but i couldn't be bothered to check as twins are being the usual nightmare :(

The main positive is that we have had a truly disasterous run of results and yet amazingly we still find ourselves just outside of the relegation zone. It is still just possible that there are three sides that will have a worse run in than we will. Amazingly someone is staying up on 36 points or less IMO. It's a long shot for us however. The other 4 sides in the equation all have to play each other quite a lot so some of them MUST pick up points.

Give them a copy of last seasons' dvd and tell the new lads this is the spirit that got us here and this is what is expected between now and end of season to get us through to safety.

Also show them Northy's journey video on You Tube so they actually understand why we as fans after everything the club has been through are so despearate for the players to put in a shift to earn their unbeliveable wages .

At least it makes me feel good everytime i watch it!!

Reshaping the midfield I think is a must...Barton really has been very poor in the games I've watched, surely Smith, Taarabt, SWP and Diakite (as long as he improves) would be another option...or even looking at fitting Campbell on the right wing (I think he can play there...?)...whether the rest of the squad like him or not, as has been reported on here...Barton is not playing well, and as captain he is not being a galvanising leader...which is what we need to pump the squad up when things aren't going well.

Obviously, also true that scoring a few goals will be handy, and hope this will be improved when Cisse returns. Not all doom and gloom yet...hope is not lost! A few points can be gained from our next three games...and that will leave the world looking a much brighter place.

    Good on you, Cerny.

    Sounds like a plan.

Though my visits to W12 have been limited this year; three kids and wife working every Saturday now means that I have only been able to make it three times. Relying on the superb streams, but just not the same as being there.

Keep that pint chilled, and I'll let you know; just a thought, perhaps we can get Bob roped in too? Doesn't he still owe you a pint over the old Spanish-Archer-Elbow-gate story that you broke after the MK dons match?
