As an outsider it would have to be Mane, Henderson or Milner for me, real team players with no thought of self.
Bobby, Robbo, Trent, VVD, Gomez, Fabinho, etc are all team players. In fact, the only one that an argument could be out against is Salah!
I agree. We've got a team full of team players and as you say Salah is the only one who can be seen as greedy but that's what Klopp likes him to be and so do I. The only exception is the obvious lack of passing to a player in a better position which actually doesn't happen all that often. Mané too is guilty of it on occasions. Salah has been phenomenal for us and I'd argue that's because he is greedy.
Not passing when someone is in a better position doesn't mean they're not a team player though, it's a desire to score and all attacking players should have that. Working hard and trying to win the val back or helping teammates out makes for a good team player, Salah doesn't always fo these things but I think you're right about Klopp's influence there too
The modern game in general and particularly Liverpool likes utility players. So everyone is "supposed' to track back and everyone is 'supposed' to win the ball back. It didn't used to be like that, roles were more specific. Salah saves his energy for his runs forward. Mané doesn't appear to need to conserve energy. He pops up everywhere and he can run all day.
Salah creates more chances than anyone in our team, plays more key passes than Mane and Bobby, and only has 1 less assist than them. not to mention that Salah had more assists than Mane and bobby combined last season. There’s a lazy narrative around Salah being greedy but the guy is one of our most creative outlets as wel being one of the most productive attackers in the world over the past 3 years.
Being greedy is bound to see your end product stats be better... no one else gets as many chances to create when he hogs the ball
