Well, clearly we're not one player away from a good team because we wouldn't be nearly bottom if that was the case, regardless of the injuries we've suffered. Our midfield AND defenders have been terrible over the last ten games and it seems that a number of players look like they're done at this club. McInnes could still turn it around, but next year we'll need to see another significant jump into the transfer market, especially if the players he's already brought in aren't going to be playing.
I agree with the above. We need a big clear out in the summer. If we stay up some serious money offer. To be put in for up to compete. Heaton New RB Bates New CB Cunningham Adomah Danns New CM New LM Baldock Davies We are 5 players away from a good team imo Tie down Heaton!!! Foster will need replacing also. I do rate him but he is not consistent enough New centre mid. We will need to sign Danns on permemt contract and get a new "cisse" who can also be creative McManus will be a good squad player next year but he's getting on so we will need a new CB Woolford again isn't consistent enough and we need another Albert on the left The strikers for once is our strongest position and doesn't need to be added unless stead and pitman leave
Play Danns a little deeper holding midfielder/sweeper and let Taylor have some freedom going forward playing of the front 2 as well policing middle of the park This combo would add some balance and fill some of those gaps that have appeared in the centre of the park when opp teams going forward Coyr's
I should blinking well hope so! You've signed so many players you could field a different squad for every game for the rest of the season! Is your tactic to sign every player in the Championship so that your opponents don't have enough to put 11 on the pitch? Well, it's not working!
No argument with the keeper and back four although when we are likely to see this back four is anyone's guess. I'm sorry to say this as he's done a good shift every time he's played over the past five years but Marv for me is a pale shadow of what was there even two years ago. The injuries are catching him up. Based on what is available now I would put either Skuse or Pearson with Danns and play Joe Bryan wide left midfield. Also when is Baldock ever going to start a match? Where does Anderson figure at all? Also disagree with a couple on subs bench; Bobbie Reid in place of Woolford and James Wilson for Carey. We must start giving the younger pros some game time otherwise they do not progress one little bit and will decide to go elsewhere for their future.
