A up lads I just wanted to explain why im leaving, its not because nicky said a few words, I work on a building site and I get lots worse than that. Im leaving because I dont really have much in common as regards how we are doing etc. everyone knows that hughes wasnt anywhere near my first choice but hes here, hes not going anywhere, hes inherited a poor side imo which we all expect to be able to play beautiful football after 7 years of hoofball. You all have your rights to an opinion but there never seems to be anything positive on the board anymore, if you look at the last page of threads the only person to say anything positive was astronaut and he isnt a stokie. We are in a massive battle and imo we need to be getting behind team and manager. I really apologise if I offended anyone, waddo, sis. Good luck for the future lads and good health.

And yes, this is my unreserved apology for MY intemperate post.

Fairplay Ricc and like Nick above I applaud you for taking the time to put together this post. I'm myself in the building trade and have been for over 34 years so just as thick skinned, hence why I didn't really rise when you were sounding off, that and the fact I'd always respected your posts pre Hughes.
As for the negativity on the board i think a lot of that comes down to the fact that the majority of loyal Stokies are really weary of the type of football we have had to watch for the past 3 or 4 seasons. as you have stated yourself before Ricc it's not cheap watching premier league football these days so to come from the ground feeling mugged, does make one down and miserable at times.

Last season holding a season ticket it gave me the same feeling as I get every morning when I get up to go to work. Going to watch your football team with that feeling mate is not good. I'll admit this season has been better and we have inherited some Pulis dross. my only argument is that for the life of me i can't see how Hughes will turn this around when he can't even sign anyone in either window he has had!
 
Ricc I hope you come back. I like to think I remain positive in what are difficult circumstances. As Waddo says it is better this year than last and probably the year before!

As a mod who does not post everyday I hope you reconsider. We are so few in number to be honest we need more participatants.

We can not afford to lose SIS, Potts, Waddo and you Ricc.
 
As I said on the thread I posted last night.. Ric sent me a pm not sure all you guys got one too?

I did reply to Ric as like you I asked him to STAY on the board. Let's hope after all the comments above he does that.

You are right my friend, it's so feckin hard to KTF but we just have to stay positive and I hope that we all STAY on this board for the sake of the great debates/arguments etc we've had in the past. And NICKY B well done for the apology to Ric, it's take a man to do that.
