Free kicks, once awarded, should be able to be taken at any time from any place further away from the opposition goal from where the offence took place. Any defending player who touches the ball within 10 yards of where the offence took place is pemnalised by a further free kick 10 yards nearer the goal (a penalty if original foul was within 10 yards of the area). This will stop the ludicrous delays while walls are line up etc: why should an offending side be allowed such time
I like the whole spray paint idea, actually. It should totally stop teams edging forward on free-kicks and end any debate about where the wall is supposed to be standing.
