While I couldn't give a **** if they throw away the key, how many of these female schoolteachers shagging young fifteen yr old lads get ten years?

Not sure if this has already been posted but some nice national shaming of the Sunderland fans that supported him at the KC.

This comment made me laugh, not about Johnson, or the idiot supporters but at the ignorant & thick **** who posted it.

"Football fans are the lowest form of human beings. So unintelligent."

It's the Daily Mail, what do expect? It's the faux outrage that comes out of Middle England like a ****ty smell. You want to see the comments when they post fashion articles about pretty actresses, models and singers who have tattoos. Anything they don't like is immoral to them.

Young, wet behind the ears type in stock Daily Mail jibe.

When I read that yesterday any positive thoughts about that club disappeared.

They should never again be held up as a good example of anything in football.

I hope they get relegated and plunge down the divisions.

Rotten from the top to the bottom. The CEO to the fans. Utterly contemptible.

Not defending them, but it is it possible they would have kept hi suspended, if the PFA hadn't stepped in to argue against it?

It's one thing to defend an individual's rights, but that needs to be in context with the over all image of football, and consideration to the victim.

As for victims. His daughter's got a life sentence. I wonder if he'll think of his actions as she reaches 15.

Judging by what a paper says his comments outside the court were, I doubt it.

"Outside of the courtroom and, as the trial approached its third week, he commented to a friend: ‘I hope this is finished by Friday. It’s a bit boring now’."

Writes the callow youth who posted a predictable jibe about the DM. What is Middle England? The Birmingham area?

Google is your friend. It will tell you what Middle England is. It's not about politics, Castro (I'm centre-right, in fact) but the DM is a distasteful **** rag and a lot of the commenters online are stuck-up pricks only rivalled by the pompous twats on the Guardian comments section.

It's just a generally ****e newspaper all round. I know cause I used to read it and the Guardian, Telegraph etc. a lot.

I know what Middle England is. Next time I will put a smiley on to make it obvious to the less observant that I am being flippant.

I can't recall many sex crime cases where anyone gets 10 years unless it's on a massive scale like that Rotherham stuff.

To be fair, Peter Hitchen's articles in the DM are always interesting and thought-provoking and the Sun is leaps and bounds above every other paper in distastefulness in covering this story. Have a look at their headline and front page from the most recent edition.

Not justifying it all, he should definitely serve time for it, but 10 years for reportedly 'heavy petting' is a bit extreme.

He is an arrogant twat and typical of what many people think and feel about pro footballers. The PFA should strike him off there list. Adam Johnson should be Sent to Coventry as well. <ok>

Whatever sentence he gets he wont serve it all in prison. However,, when he is released then he should be tagged and kept under house arrest for the rest of it. He should pay the full cost of his prison expense. Not the tax payers of this country.

He shouldn't be punished twice just because he's rich.
