From roker report The club's long, long search for a right back may be about to bear fruit, with Czech full back Ondrej Celustka closing in on a move to Sunderland. As we reported a couple of days ago, the player himself confirmed we are interested in his services and yesterday Trabzonspor's Executive Director, Unal Karaman, confirmed they have received offers from Europe. This morning the player's official Facebook account claimed a deal was imminent, so it's all looking positive there. Hopefully that means there will be good news on the right back front in the coming week but the same can't be said with any confidence about the left back position.

Hello friends, I'm from Turkey (Trabzon). I registered here to introduce you Celutska As you know he is a defender (ofc). But he is not a classical defender. For example, if you let Rio Ferdinand play CB he performs % 100. But when you force him to play RB or LB he, as a defender, can only show % 30 of his skills. But Celutska is not like that. Celutska can play as a RB (his main position), RCB (as good as playing like RB) LCB and unbelieveably LB. In our team, Trabzonspor, we are in lack of a good LB for years and years. Although, Celutska is not a geniune LB he carried out that job well IMO. But if he is that good, why would Trabzonspor sell him? I am sure you are not aware, Turkish Football Federation took a decision that forces clubs to have just 6 foreigners in the starting eleven. This rule is called (6+0+4, u can google it) Which means, you can have 6 players in the starting 11 but noone in subs and 4 out of the 18. This rule has demolished many clubs plans. Trabzonspor are in a desperate need of a striker but we cant buy it because of that rule. We now have 12+ foreigners in our team so we can't even hire a player. So, as a result, if some club comes and offers one of our players to buy, we have to sell him to have a place for the striker in our squad *** Back again to Celutska, He is a very disciplined player. As a friend, he is the best for a team. If you put him to subs for weeks and weeks you can have him in first 11 again as he plays with no break. @ The PDC effect I think just because being selected for a national squad doesn't mean a player is good (or bad). I checked Czech national team, Theodor Gebre Selassie plays there (RB). I checked his statistics: 166 games, 10 goals+10 assists (Whole carreer). Celutska, whole career: 175 games, 9 goals+6 assists. I think not much difference between those two. (And just to note, Celutska played lots of games as a LB which is a huge mistake for Trabzonspor coaches IMO. Total games he played for us = 80) Then why didn't Celutska havent been selected? I think this is about where do you play. Bundesliga is always in sight while Turkish Super League is the last station before Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia (Sad but true). When he starts to play 20+ games in EPL he will surely be a national player, i am sure of that.
Even if he play as a LB and (rarely) RB his contribution to scoring is not as it should be. (80 games, 2 goals (1 for Inter in CL ) and 4 assists) But he is a good defender, i mean he can't play the whole pitch 100 meters but if you put a good RM or a LM (who is also a good attacker) in front of him you can feel safe about the back.

I dont like judging players before I see them but I seriously doubt the quality of this lad, strikes of slight desperation and sounds like the money isnt there for anyone better, tough season ahead but we need to stick with PDC as its still not the way he wants the team/squad and we wont see that until next season.

All i can hope is if he does sign he is good enough for the premier league. Im pretty sure nobody on here has seen much of the lad so he is a venture into the unknown for us fans but hopefully not for our scouts.
