Must admit, every time I've gone to write Seaborne, I've typed it in as Seabourne and wondered if the extra 'u' was correct anyway. But I've been too lazy to check. It happens to us all. Seaborne it is from now on. Cheers
Although I shall not argue the red card, you could see there was no malice in the challenge. Chappers was just landing and matey moved into the stud space. Good clearance if you ask me!
Seaborne had a good game on saturday, but one swallow does not an adult movie make. Still don't think he's good enough to be a regular at this level, but i'm willing to be proved wrong, and hope I am.
Seabourne & Martin ... I'm still not convinced. Two games in far too early to judge and also too early to praise!!
Everyone had a go at Seaborne when he conceded that silly penalty against Peterborough in that 4-4 game. What made me annoyed was that Chamberlain also conceded a penalty and everyone was defending him! We were pretty awful defensively in that game collectively but everyone blamed seaborne. Talk about a scapegoat.
I only saw the Chaplow incident once on TV but it did look like he left his boot in far longer than necessary. I have always thought he is a bit of a liability with reckless challenges. As for Seaborne, I've always thought of him as a good prospect (along with Martin) and I'm glad they are both being given a chance. Let's be thankful everyone seems to be playing at the top of their game. Nobody should be criticised so far (except for Chaplow - although I don't have to worry about him coming on and getting sent off while he is suspended)
Have a look at the Chaplow incident again here. The first time I saw it I thought it was harmless, and Chaplow had been misunderstood. But he does leave his boot unnecessarily high and for too long. Of course, there is the possibility he was protecting himself from the onrushing Barnsley player. But I don't think so. Barnsley v Saints
Must admit, I was one of the Seaborne bashers and I am glad to be made to eat humble pie. However, as someone has posted already, it will take more than one decent performance to change opinions on a player.
