So , he was currently convicted... He's currently a rapist

If its then overturned, he's not a rapist ...

But is he still a rapist or is he innocent ?
 
My problem isn't with the conviction, it's with the law.

It's out-dated and treats women as victims even when they're willing accomplices.
 
He's been granted leave to appeal, still guilty.
I wasn't clear ...

If his appeal fails , he's guilty.

If his appeal succeeds is he truely innocent ?

I doubt it ...

I have no opinion on the actual case as I never read about it.
