Yep still here mate. Been without broadband for the last three weeks. Broke up with my partner and had to sort out the mess she'd left with Sky. Hate Sky for what they've helped to do to football but, fair play, the re-install of tv, phone & broadband was very professional & went like a dream. Now she's gone I'm financially better off and I've got my mojo back Stockport County wise! And we're not doing too bad on the field. Even went to an away game at Hednesford (near Cannock in Staffs, middle of nowhere).

Ballotelli for Suarez eh? Rogers must have a fetish for having a nutter in the team!! He's great when he's interested but can easily go walkabout. Time, as always, will tell. How do you think you'll do mate?

Good to see you're still around fella, I can't stand Balotelli and nothing has changed my mind so far so not happy with that signing. My profile is knackered so I'm using this temp one for now.

Hi mate - yes, Balotelli's purchase was a strange one, Rogers defended it because he was "cheap" but you'd think that with the £75m from the Suarez sale they could have signed a top notch striker who would definitely deliver 20 goals a season, guaranteed almost. Taking a gamble on him was unecessary.

I wonder about Rogers mentality, I was reading that he'd left his wife, consorting with some younger woman and had his teeth whitened ffs!! Does he think this is how a Liverpool manager should behave? And the bickering between him and Hodgson about Sterling & Sturridge is pathetic, on both sides. Just pick up the phoone, one of you, and talk about the players and get an understanding. Does my head in! Rant over.

My boss was on the phone to Anfield this week chasing up any footage they may have of Stockport's game at Anfield in 65/66 (drew 1-1) and a league cup game, again at Anfield, in 1984 when we lost 2-0. He runs a fans support group and have just established a social club next to the ground and wanted this to put on as pre-match entertainment. They were very helpful but I don't think they unearthed anything.

We're doing better this year and have a big (for us) FA cup game at home to Chester next week, with the winner going in to the 1st round proper. Wrexham's game at Macclesfield has been brought forward to Friday as the police didn't want fans from those clubs travelling to more or less the same destination, as thye have a history of unpleasantness. Makes sense.

That's all from the Vanarama North (oh the shame!)
