On this day 11 years ago I happened to be in Valencia….. wonder why?

Leighton is a great guy. His father (Lincoln) and mine were good pals - they played football with and against each other.
I recently chatted to him outside the Post Office in Bryncoch - he was going to post a letter to Norway: a (Norwegian) Villa fan had sent him 2 photos of him playing for Villa and asked that he autograph them. He said he couldn’t believe how the guy had found his home address!

The only thing I remember about Bob is the win against Palace by 5 goals to 4....thousands had left the game thinking we had lost a game we had won earlier before the collapsed defence....
I luckily stayed until the end

I was there and yes we were robbed. To make it worse our coach driver saw all the Scottish fans outside the ground and headed for home and left us stranded. Spent the night sleeping on.a bench at Crewe station!
Our coach driver stayed and drove us back - dropping me off in Cardiff where I was in Uni.
I remember seeing Hugh Johns in a service station on the way back
