West Ham defender Herita Ilunga has confirmed he would like to play top-flight football following the club's relegation.

The DR Congo international still has two years left on the four-year contract he signed after joining from Toulouse in 2009.

Ilunga is now being linked with a move out of Upton Park following relegation with a number of Ligue 1 clubs also interested.

Newly-promoted QPR are reportedly keen on the 29-year-old, but Rennes and former club Toulouse are ready to join the hunt.

Ilunga is aware of the speculation and while he has no problems with West Ham, he would like to continue playing top-flight football

"I'm aware of the speculation," he told skysports.com. "Nothing's done at the moment. I want to play in the top division.

"West Ham's a friendly club and I'm very happy to play for them, but you never know in football."

Hungary international Laszlo Bodnar has hinted that he is to take in a trial at an English club.

The 32-year-old defender is available as a free agent after severing ties with Red Bull Salzburg.

It is reported that a number of sides in England have expressed an interest in his services, but are keen to take a look at him in training first.

Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers, Swansea City and Norwich City are understood to be leading the chase, and Bodnar has admitted that a deal could be imminent.

"It makes my situation far easier that I'm free to sign anywhere," he told Nemzeti Sport.

"I have more possibilities and it could be that I will travel to England for a trial.
    Future

"I don't want to say the names of clubs because nothing is sure yet.

"I want my future to be decided as soon as possible because the start of the new season is approaching."

Bodnar admits he could yet be lured back to his homeland, having shunned offers from Hungarian clubs in January before moving to Austria.

He added: "Before signing for Salzburg I had offers from Kecskemet and Gyor.
