I dont know enough about him, but being close to the club at that time would mean being close to TJ and Slater. From his posts that I'm reading, he seems to be close to people holding/held negotiations with the club. The post which Vol speaks of reads from that angle. The post before says the deal was on ice and hinted at it being the current board who were doing so. Less than 48 hours the takeover is *reportedly* completed...
