Fixed for you. 17 goals and 3 other perfectly good ones canx out - and also most assists in the PL......
If all of that was true, why has he earned himself a reputation among most switched-on Spurs fans as being lazy and impotent in front of goal?
A season under Villas-Boas. Seemed to stop all of our strikers scoring, however. Adebayor MOTM. Big slap in the face for our former manager.
Massive win, big performance and it's nice to see some exciting football, too. Some really positive stuff from that game, so I'll ignore the negatives. Adebayor lead well from the front and Bentaleb had a very assured debut. Very happy with that.
Tim Sherwood now has the second best win v games ratio behind AVB as Spurs greatest ever manager. What was all this about statistics?
Well done Bentaleb. Was expecting a bit of a headless performance and a yellow based on previous, but a very controlled half. Perhaps the Academy crew will also consider advancing Veljkovic now as/when games allow.
The facts speak for themselves whether you like it or him. Harry got the best out of him - AVB clearly didn't.
Ade was sweating his nuts off from about the 60th. When he puts a shift in, he has the lot. He was the difference today.
I'll go with that Adebayor was really outstanding in the second half and it was great to see Bentaleb come in and look so composed too. Huge, huge win for us. I'd still like a new manager for Christmas though
I love Sherwood. I know that, before today, I said that we'd be royally ****ed with him in charge, and I have absolutely no doubts that I will be making the same sweeping statement when, inevitably, we lose a couple, but for today I love him; and "a day" is a long time in football.
