Last season before the Premier League started. Couple of Spurs connection there too, in Sinton and Francis.
Agent Webb was sorely tested today. I can only assume the usual cheque has been delayed in the Xmas post (Rooney was claiming at FT he sent it 1st class registered delivery) .
I'm sure he'll agree because there were a number of decisions he might have given for Utd, but he didn't. But the game wasn't won or lost by refereeing decisions - Utd weren't good enough to take chances and Spurs, like other teams this season at OT, were given chances, which were taken. Utd's tempo was good, especially early on, but where has the quality gone? Cleverley could have put Welbeck through on goal early on, but fluffed the pass. 1-0 after 5 minutes used to be game over. Now Utd chase the game, don't take chances, the opposition gain confidence, show composure and some quality on the ball and Utd end up losing games where the stats suggest we've "dominated" - possession, attempts at goal etc. It happened again today.
Not a good day for the Ferguson family. Sir Alex was caught on TV cameras at the final whistle looking well pissed off. Meanwhile, son Darren looks certain to get the boot from Peterborough. Oh dear.
I think Moyes should get Young to give Welbeck some lessons in how to dive correctly. That was a pretty piss-poor effort today!...should have got a yellow for it...
That match ended William Prunier's hopes of joining Man Utd - earning him a permanent addition to All Time Worst Man Utd Player lists until the end of time.
QPR fan here in peice, Congrats on the win today. I like Sherwood and hope he does well for you. Happy new year.
