Now we've all settled down a little, I hope these few words are not viewed as a wum attempt or me just bigging-up LFC. I'm not sure that just getting rid of AVB is the right thing to do. You'll know more about how your club buys its players but is he responsible for all those signings? From this standpoint I just cannot see how you can hope to develop a settled side let alone find your 'best' side when you cannot accommodate so many players. Cohesion within the squad must have been effected. Perhaps this season you are going to have to accept that you will be mid table whilst ABB gets to know his squad and they get to know each other. I am sure of one thing. If you go for a new stadium without creating a settled squad then the pressure on the club could get so great that it could do serious damage for years to come. So said my piece (in peace)
My spurs supporting 16 yr old daughter showed me on her phonea couple of hours ago...some of our fans are as clueless as avb
We had to sell Bale at that money, and I think we had to spend it all as money in the bank wins you **** all. But it has destabilised the squad. I've been arguing all season that AVB is doing better than we should have expected given the upheaval and the injuries. We were missing four important defenders today - Liverpool took full advantage of that. But we should have been able to do better today despite that. I'm not sure any other manager is going to have a magic wand though.
Agreed that money in the bank wins **** all but perhaps spending it on more quality and less numbers may not have destabilised you quite as much? It was easier for us as we were/are 'buying for the future' eg Illori, Alberto and even Coutinho.
We've all been there lads so I'll play this for you
Yeah, agreed. That's pretty much my views, too...the referee in particular was a disgrace to the standards that should prevail in the Premier League...
Definitely a red card and definitely yellows for Dawson and Holtby, referee was fine, your loyalty to your club and your disappointment has got the better of you.
Ref was a shambles in the second half, but has been in every game i've seen him in all season. But to be honest we didn't deserve anything from the officials today and wouldn't have had any effect on the result.
I think your distinctly red tinted specs have got the better of you. I'm not using the appalling standard of refereeing today as an excuse for our defeat, we were beaten by a far better side on the day. It was never a red card, and some of his other decisions were equally poor. He should be officiating on Hackney Marshes, not the a Premier League!...
Never a red? Paulinho put his foot deliberately into Suarez's chest, he could always have pushed him or tripped him up if he wanted a yellow, dangerous play earns a red card and the Spurs player earned his.
If it was worth a red, might as well gone the whole hog and had Sewerage carried off.Better to be hung for a sheep than a lamb....
It isn't the after effects that the player gets sent off for its the dangerous intent when making the foul.
The rowing about the ref is a bit like claiming the problem with the titanic was porters werent trained evacuate everyone...its completely irrelevant. There werent enoughlife boats and most importanty they should have not hit the ****ing big iceberg...for that it is the captain that is to blame...Avbs **** team selection and tactics caused today end of...if suarez had tackled paulinio like that we would have all screamed for a red.
He did not deliberately put his foot in Suarez's chest. It was nothing more than a mistimed challenge for the ball. If the law is now going to dictate that raising your foot above ankle level in an attempt to win the ball is a red card offence, then they might as well go the whole hog and make it a totally contact free sport. Bring in the health and safety!...
