Soldado absolutely skies the free-kick. The only highlights about him today are in his hair. Can't wait til they bring that spray paint thing in for walls, though. The Fulham players nicked about 3 yards.
Useful win which sees us go six points clear of Man Utd and pull up to only three behind Everton, as they're set to face each other tomorrow. Awful team selection and another exceptionally slow start, but Eriksen's set-pieces, a few glimpses from Lennon and a good performance by Lloris saw us through.
Good enough. Lloris and Eriksen were excellent, Kane, Lennon and Rose did well but the rest were average/poor. 3-2 probably would've been fairer given how we defended, which is worrying for a home game against a side in the relegation zone.
Not impressed by Adebayor. He looked as if he had his mind on other things. Great goal keeping again by Lloris. One of the best keepers I've seen in a Spurs shirt and today he would be my man of the match.
Eriksen taking the piss in the post match interview and Rose having another strop at the end of the match, rowing with Tony Parks. Nice to see such harmony at the club, as usual.
Yet more misleading facts used by the media. Let's see if that win ratio is the same after 140 games, not 14
Well he has got Eriksen performing so as we will eventually become a one man team then we should focus on securing the manager who can get the best out of Eriksen and that is clearly Sherwood.
Back from the Lane already, it's nice only having a 15 minute walk too and from the ground First half was dire, genuinely just wanted to sleep through that. 2nd half was a bit lively, defence still had me worried at times but we're lucky to have a world class keeper behind them to cover many of their lapses. Eriksen's set pieces were sublime, Hugo made some great saves and Harry Kane yet again proving me right in that he IS good enough to play for Tottenham. Highlight of the day for me though was the Australian dude in front of me, presume it was part of his stag do to come to the Lane, he was dressed in a tight ballerina outfit with the words of "Blow me" written onto him.
In fairness to AVB, eriksen had a spell of about 6 weeks out injured. Sandro has tweeted saying "lol" several times, which putting 2 and 2 together, can only be a reaction to sherwood's comments about him not being good enough.
We all know Sandro should be the 1st name on the team sheet but am surprised if Sherwood has actually said Sandros not good enough (and believes it), he likes to try and use his own individual way of pushing players and what he said is Suggesting on form, but he likes him as a player and managers are entitled to pick players based on their current form or how they train so I'm sure Sandro and Sherwood will sort out any differences on the training ground.
I've realised what it was that pleased me most about that game. It was the urgency, we pressed high on a number of ocassions forcing them into mistakes and when we had the ball no one had to stand around waiting for someone to make a move as players were always making themselves available, something that hasn't happened often enough this season. If only we cut out our own suicidal tendencies at the back we could've looked like a top team today.
