Good to see we have some midfielders back but it's our defensive choices which are really struggling for at the moment.

Definitely going to put some money on Defoe scoring. He always gets a good reception but I think it's going to be extra special tomorrow.

If Soldado's calf needs more rest, I like the idea of Eiriksen behind Ade, with Chadli on the left and Capoue DM. That makes us strong on the flanks, with good protection for the back four, lets Dembele get forward and should let Eiriksen contribute at their end without having to try to cover down the left.

 

Unchanged lineup, apparently.

 

Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Rose, Lennon, Bentaleb, Dembele, Eriksen, Adebayor, Soldado.

Friedel, fryers, Naughton, Capoue, Chadli, Holtby, Defoe.

 

So now we have a team with the rest of the squad trying to break in to it. That is a good idea with a large new squad IMO.

 

Tony Pulis seems to be rather popular with our coaching staff. What's that about?

Been better for the last few minutes, but that was an awful start.

 

Walker's playing terribly. Really bad overall play in virtually every way.

Bentaleb really unlucky not to score. Inside of the post and out behind the goal past the opposite one.

This half has been as bad as anything that Villas-Boas served up, in my opinion. Palace are very unlucky not to be ahead and we've looked rubbish.

 

Sherwoodie's honeymoon could well be over at the end of the next half.
