Their fullback's allowed to run free down their left and gets a shot off. That's really poor. Our defending's been very erratic.
Disappointing. We were well on top until the goal, but lacked a cutting edge or any real imagination, rarely testing their keeper. Then we seemed content to sit on it and aimlessly pass the ball around, looking very dodgy at the back whenever they broke. Sherwood has some work to do at half-time. Needs to inject some urgency into the game and somehow restore some composure too, which isn't easy. Sandro's introduction might help, but it would be better to get through the game without having to call on him, as he recovers from his injury. The slack attitude running through the side needs to be addressed badly, though.
Decent enough. Probably about as brightly as we've started a game under Sherwood but I still have concerns about us looking a bit open defensively with so many attacking players in the side. Cardiff have been poor too which has made it a bit easier for us. Special half time mentions to Naughton, he's taken some great set pieces and crosses so far.
