Not dropping Lloris, but Friedel is good enough to play this - didn't do too bad the year before last. As we have abandoned AVB's high line (?) Friedel would be very effective, and we need to keep 2 keepers sharp in case of injury to Lloris - let's face it he is liable to get another boot in the face the way he charges out.

IMO, if we don't have Lloris "sweeping", our defence is going to get torn a new one.

Not dropping him mate, just giving Brad a game. He needs to be as match fit as possible if Hugo gets injured.

agreed that Brad needs some game time, but against Arsenal? jesus, the combination of him and dawson at the back with Arsenal's pace would be frightening.

To be honest I don't think Arsenal caused us too many problems in the league game with their pace. Their goal came from a sloppy bit of defending that Walcott capitalised on but apart from that I can only remember Hugo making one of his runs out to bail out the defence.

Like I mentioned earlier though will Arsenal field a full strength side with the position they're in? Top of the league and still in the CL, would they want to risk any potential injuries to key players?

  6. I don't think we need to worry about Arsenal, not any more.

I would post something about us needing to be more cautious but I keep saying that, Shewood ignores me and we win.

Looking forward to the game but I am a bit worried they might spank us as we're still not totally convincing yet.

5-0 to the mighty Spurs <ok>

After yesterday, IMHO the boys can really treat this as a one-off cup final.
Any loss other than a rout is not going to dent morale for the remaining PL games this month.

I asked this earlier but still not sure if the goons will play a full strength team, I know we will as Sherwood knows how important the derby games are to fans and will set out to win, yet they have injuries, ramsey is out, ozil missed the last game, as did giroud so we may see Bendtner V Adebayor!

Bendtner's injured, Boss. Did his ankle scoring the opener against Cardiff.
Might see something different from Wenger, like starting Podolski and Walcott up front.

    End of that!

So they are really struggling with injuries but have Wallcott and Poldoski back.

Some talk on the Arsenal board about shooting himself in the foot with his attitude. Seemed a strange injury if I'm honest.

I think he got in caught under marshall's torso/armpit area after he came out to make things as difficult as possible for Bendtner.

Arsenal will do their usual tactic of playing 4-3-3 against us and will attempt to flood the midfield.

We will need to play Capoue for certain. I think Holtby might have a role as well, providing he sits deeper.

I don't think 4-4-2 will work against Arsenal - although if Adebayor acts more as a link between the midfielders and Soldado then it might be ok (i.e. more of a 4-4-1-1).

Too many times in the past, I've seen us lose the NLD in midfield - it's how Arsenal dictate play in 90% of their matches pretty much.

This is, of course, assuming we put out a full strength side - given that we have the rest of the week to recover I think he might go quite strong.
