    better than cavileri? mind you he was ages ago really... he can stop a shot but is terrible at kick, catching and just about everything... when you care about the fa cup taking this risk is just annoying.

    No we spent a bit of coin on Kirkland. I think Carson was around 5 mil as well and actually played in some big games in the Rafa era.

    I think its difficult for any backup keeper to come on after not playing much and perform well.

    Dudek great in Istanbul but a poor overall keeper... once we got Reina and Dudek became backup he became a million times worse due to lack of regular games. Think that's the problem with many backup keepers.

    I'd put Jones above Cav, Carson, et al... they made mistakes.

    Jones looks bad, but he doesn't really make that many fatal mistakes... I think its a case of looks worse than he really is.;)

    Mind you, wouldn't want him near the first team.
