I can't believe this, but for once I have to agree with the Mouser! When Chelsea fans start chanting "Mad Dog Out!" and unfurling "Stop ruining our club, you Russian Twat!" banners at the Bridge, then I'll regain some admiration for them. We all, even us neutrals, knew that Coco was not the right man for CFC, and that the only reason he was brought in was to get Torres to look like a £10 million player so that Mad Dog can recover even something of the £50 million he's lost on buying the donkey, but we all also knew that Coco cannot work miracles - he cannot revive the fortunes of a player whose best days were behind him long before he left 'Pool. The only mistake that Coco made was to actually believe that he could get Torres to play better. But, to return to my main point (and I do appreciate that what I am saying will not be accepted or liked by the majority of Chelsea fans), the one against whom you ought to be venting your collective Spleen is your owner. What are his billions worth if he is going to continue to use your club as his plaything, to search for something that can only be found in the dark depths of his deranged mind? Thank god he does at least have the money to buy you quality players, because without them you'd have sunk without a trace long, long ago.
Spot on EC, I never stopped chanting Rafa out against Sparta and the fat **** will get more against West Brom win or lose.
The game at Anfield in April will be weird you lot will be booing we'll be cheering him. Very strange.
NONE OF THIS ****E MATTERS. Rafa is a stupid twat of a manager, Roman/board were stupid in appointing him, and we've been stupid cutting off our noses to spite him. Even a ******ed moron would agree with that. But none of this ****e matters now, cos he is going, and is now a total irrelevance. Ake, Lukaku and Chalobah look full of potential, and we now have a golden opportunity to put all this behind us, turn this season around, and look ahead to the next. We won't do that if we keep booing at the matches, and as that's 100% NOT gonna ****ing happen, Roman needs to get rid - NOW.
The way you've treated Benitez is disgraceful. You were booing him from the first game, and haven't given him a chance either. Do you really think booing the manager (a manager who was always going to leave the next summer anyway) is helping the team? So what if Benitez said something about you that you didn't like, he was correct - you were handed plastic flags. Let's face it, you're hardly proving him wrong with your support now are you. Everyone out there who isn't a Chelsea fan (even a lot of United fans I know) are looking upon you now as supporters, pretty disgusted. Oh, and don't even try and compare this to Hodgson. We gave him plenty of time, and he made a lot more mistakes than Benitez has in the past 6 months.
This! Nine managers in nine years suggests there are problems elsewhere within the club. The thing is, Rafa is superb at speaking out against the powers that be and despite him making clear that there are issues within the playing staff, Chelsea fans are still up in arms at Benitez! God forbid your beloved John 'I can't do no wrong' Terry is a/the problem
I watched the interview in full and I have to say I feel for him - he was brought in under difficult circumstances and has done his best. I don't agree with all his decisions/tactics but he has at least tried. Tbh I am sick to death of the banners too and the pathetic 16 minute sing-song. I would suggest that the idiots causing this atmosphere at the Bridge have cost us a few points - sadly (and like all clubs) we have a number of fans who collectively can probably only muster one brain cell between them. 'Fans' like this and the moronic CPO are holding the club back. Fan bases change and I get sick to death of the 'die hard I've got a CFC chromosone in my DNA' fans from yesteryear who bang on about the 'good old days' and can't forget a slight of any kind. I wish they'd ***k right off and let many of the more liberal minded newer fans enjoy the club as it is today - warts and all.
That's totally right Bloo, but as we all have to live with ****ing idiots who'd rather shoot themselves in the foot, we may as well accept it and work with it. The best thing that Roman can do is to get rid of Rafa tonight, which would put an immediate end to all the booing. That way everyone is happy and we can all move on. Any replacement will do in the short term as we're tearing ourselves apart, even Grant.
I wonder if the poison directed to Rafa is as much to do with the sacking of RDM! Few Blues would have wanted Rafa given a choice , but the feelings of anger at dumping a Chelsea legend, would have made it difficult to warm to any new face!
This Watford fan would beg to differ. It may well have been counter productive but there was no way they wanted Rafa at their club and I don't blame them for the way they reacted. You slag off a fan base and then take the money to manage their club - seriously - what do you expect? And, as someone else has said, the continued anger is also at the sacking of a proper Chelsea legend who they probably thought was not given enough time.
