    Fantastic stuff :)

And who's a smart ass then?

Swimming's world governing body Fina said the water tanks had run out of some of the chemicals used in the water treatment process.

Well as you "can't be bothered" to dig out my posts to prove your point that I said Guidolin was a failure, Roof, I've spent a few minutes whilst enjoying the Olympics. Here's just a few....I may keep digging. :)

Thread: "Alan Curtis: Top Swan": I agree. Curtis did remarkably well and by all accounts Guidolin left everything up to him when he was recovering in hospital. As I recall we had some great results during that period too. We owe our survival, at least in part, to Curtis.

Thread: "West Ham v Swansea": I couldn't agree more Valley. Both you and I have been highly critical of Guidolin and it's hard to say we were wrong after some of the downright **** displays this season. Even our win against Villa at home was absolutely dreadful. But we cannot ignore results like yesterday and Chelsea so maybe the guy deserves his chance.

Thread: "West Ham v Swansea": No, it's not all bad Phil. But not all good either. Way too inconsistent for me and he still makes some very worrying substitutions. I think we can do better, but he deserves some credit for doing a job for us, fair play.

This is the sport I enjoy most in the Olympics. I'm destroyed after doing spin for 20mins twice a week for cardio so I can only imagine the agony etc that these men and women put their bodies through.

Murray to play some Japanese guy in the semis.

Nadal v Del Potro will be a brutal match.

Oh... here's another, Roof.... for the life of me I can't find any post where I said Guidolin was a "failure". Maybe you can help me out?

Thread: “Who will be the new manager?” Totally agree, he's a lovely guy but I completely agree with TLF on this. Can't explain it but as much as I'll get behind him I get this nagging doubt at the back of my mind. I guess it's just those awful, diabolical performances we've seen. The limp displays, the worrying lineups, the crazy substitutions. It's inevitable that some of us refuse to get caught up in the euphoria. That said, his results have ensured he gets a crack at it and he probably deserves it. Points ratio alone has ensured that. I hope we go out on a high at the weekend and that carries on into next season. If we do, that will go some way to putting our worries to bed. I liked what he said about his next target making sure we don't lose our identity and that we learn from the failures of this season.

Sorry to come to this evening's "debate" late - been watching the Ospreys - but there are multiple foreign athletes who could claim the title of greatest Olympian ahead of Cassius Clay:

Francina "Fanny" Elsje Blankers-Koen was a Dutch athlete, best known for winning four gold medals at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. She accomplished this as a 30-year-old mother of two.

Emil Zátopek - at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Zátopek won gold in the 5,000m, 10,000m, and the marathon, breaking Olympic records in each event. Zátopek is the only person to win these three long distance events in the same Olympic games. He had won the 10,000m at the London Olympics in 1948.

Lasse Viren - winner of four gold medals at the 1972 & 1976 Olympics. He won the 5,000m & 10,000m at both Olympiads.

To name but 3 worthy contenders....
