Silver! That was absolutely unbelievable - the floor exercises by GB were astounding. Had to turn the sound off though, those commentators were so irritating "oh, he lost .735 of a mark for farting in his dismount..."

That hockey was snorting - as I know pretty much nothing about it, is the pitch watered before the game or was that just surface rain water?
Tewkes, i'm off to the Olympic Hockey on Saturday Night - lined up for me are USA V NZ and Germany v ARG - the only down side is its the women - but, hey,ho. The water helps reduce friction on the surface which helps a dimpled hockey ball travel more smoothly along the ground and not bounce to create a danger to participants on the pitch. It also helps reduce friction burns and surface scrapes on skin when players fall.
Has anyone been trying to buy any more tickets? These websites are a joke - they state they have all of these available, you go through to the final(!!!) stage and they say they are no longer available. Just spent a frustrating morning trying to get tickets for the boxing this Friday. Managed to get tickets for next Wednesdays diving though.

I have to say that I have had ginger sideburns since at least late 2008 that have until recently been described as a range of things but mostly 'disgusting'. So at least the Olympics has made them acceptable.
Just seen replays of Bradley Wiggins and Helen Glover and Heather Stanning in the Women's Pairs' - outstanding, they just obliterated the field - how on earth Wiggins won by so far, so soon after winning the Tour de France beats me. Solid performance by Team GB tonight - Bellamy simply wonderful. Fine referee and linos too, but that half-wit who tried to get Bellamy off the pitch quicker, then repeated the performance at the next substitution should have gone. And it was dead right those Badminton players were chucked out as well, disgraceful.
