congrats to all our Olympic team …. for only a small over populated Island we did well 65 medals 22-21- 22, and a bucket load of fourth's. I saw some of them and they were close like 1/100th sec or 30cms or just bad luck.
the Omnium ….. Easy to understand the principle, but "what the heck when you fall" when you fall, in the points race you get a bit of treatment, a drink? a 2 or 3 lap race and if you time it right can get back into the leading 4 or 5 riders!! whilst the field is strung out over 100+metres!
canoes/kayacks … on the start line you have to keep behind it so gentle back or forward paddling …. gun goes off as you do a back paddle … and you lose 1m or 2m ….
if you haven't seen it Jason Kenny … struggled to get into last QUALIFYING group [ sort of as a make weight! ] in the keirin.... wont spoil it but wow... W O W
RUSSIA BANNED for continued drug usage... but hey lets have the Russian Olympic Committee enter a team the 3rd largest? number of contestants ….. of RUSSIAN athletes of course....
Not heard any drug failures yet, but still time...………….
