Fair enough if he does play I hope you're right. Welsh and Scottish FAs did say that any player who chose to play for a GB team would not play for their country again but I am not sure if this statement still stands. Think they are still in discussions about the whole thing. Seems a bit silly to me, I'm reasonably sure it will not be to the detriment of their national sides.
agree. not sure beckham deserves to be called up but he'd give his all for the cause. not everyone will! and the scottish and welsh FAs have devalued the competition far more than any ageing english player could do!
What a stupid thing for the Scottish and Welsh FA's to say. Bale and Ramsey already said they want to play as well. Can't really see who from the Scottish team would get in personally.
Football should not be in the Olympics and to be honest I do not want any of our players getting involved and possibly injured. Any sport that has its own grand slams or other means of achievement should not be entertained. If Beckham is involved it will be a media circus and a total distraction form the 'proper' events.
