One girl gone off on stretcher from BMX and another crash in mens. Think I will forgo BMX even though it means I will have to miss the 2016 games in Brazil.
Good to see. I was down there yesterday for their heats and SFs, and they certainly looked like medal prospects. Shame for Jess, but then she did only sneak into her final.
Last day of the Olympics tomorrow! It has been great and it seems now then, given Team GB's success, any day without gold seems like a failure! I will be sorry when it's over, as I have really enjoyed it and the BBC have done a great job with their coverage. I don't watch much TV but the thing's hardly been off this past couple of weeks when I have been home. Football season next week...! Already? Autumn is just around the corner.
Modern pentathlon looks interesting...swimming, pistol shooting, fencing, running and show jumping. Have to do a round of showjumping on a strange horse they draw by lots. Great fun to do I would imagine.
Bet it was devised by army officers. I enjoy these mixed events because no one will shine at everything, so the lead often swaps about. We're 5th I think.
You missed out that the running and shooting is combined, you have to run 3km and every 1km take five shots at a target. No, I have no idea either.
Apparently they use laser pistols, so no chance of shooting anyone in the crowd. Shame I'd have given bonus points for that
