In fact, let's not blame him at all, as the ball was with Giggs when the GB move broke down.

    Yawn!
Not many positives from this game other than Corky getting a little run out
Thought GB were really slow with nothing to offer up front
Griggs looks well passed it and if Allen is worth £15m,well Liverpool haven't learnt their lesson from the Carroll disaster

Yeah, I just noticed Cork was filling in at centre-back and let the goalscorer go. Although actually having seen it again it was maybe more Taylor's fault.

    Set up by Ramsey

Overall, better than against Brazil but far from brilliant. As has been said, apart from Bellamy the strikers look very unimpressive.

Reminds me of Greggs from the original Pro Evolution Soccer, when they couldn't put an accurate name to the star players and teams because EA Sports FIFA had already paid for those. ;)

But yes, Giggs looks very slow and relatively ineffective. If he is in close season mode, and therefore not trying to overtire himself, then he shouldn't be playing. And that isn't an excuse to call up Beckham either. Crikey, we want the Olympic Games, not the Olympic, featuring David Bloody Beckham, Games.

Crikey no. They meant Giggs. Emil Heskey was Heski, IIRC. There were loads of others with incorrect spelling. Of course the on-game commentator had to say the incorrect name too, which made one guffaw occasionally, because you knew it was all about who had the most money, and who got in first with it. ;)

Were you kidding with that comment..?

Yes, I was implying something about Richards' current physique. I remember in the Sensible Soccer games, they just swapped all the vowels around. So Southampton had La Tussuer and Urmarud.

I was hoping you could tell me! I should be able to remember. I spent one whole summer round my friends house playing the damn game, and it was always England vs Brazil. In that game, rounding the keeper was the easiest way to score, and I must have seen Ronaldo do it a million times.

I know Beckham was called Duckham.

That's excellent. I nearly spat out my Laphroaig over the screen.

No wonder he ran well. <laugh>
