I agree that it's good to get Suarez back early and still hungry!

The Welsh should be proud, Allen and Ramsey looked a good pairing in the middle. Still to mature as players and in time will be a force to be reckoned with. Thought Butland had another good game. We've been linked to him and, TBH, I wouldn't be too upset to see him at our club. ;) <ok>

Butland did have a good game generally but he's got to work on his kicking,it was poor
    this evening.
Didn't realise we had been linked with him,he looks promising.

With Ramsey, Allen, Bale, Bellamy, Taylor & Williams (Swansea CB)we have got a pretty strong spine now.

Keep them fit and we could qualify for the first time in 60 (or something close to that) years for an international tournament!

Keep Bale fit? Good luck with that one... He suffers a career ending injury every week, but does recover well to play again 3 days later <whistle>

Haha reminds me at the start of every season with Torres & Gerrard (well about 3 seasons).

If we can keep Torres fit we'll challenge for the title! Problem was Torres and Gerrard always missed a LOT of games.

Good thing about international football is that most competitive games are played over a period of a month, so its not like he has to be fit for a full season!

Yeah, it's a fair comparison with the Stevie & Torres situation.

OR: Butland's bad kicking wouldn't worry us. BR seems to dislike his keepers kicking, and gets them to pass it out or throw it out, as another way to keep possession, I guess.

They are looking for 8M for Butland, we need to move fast on him. Think he is going to get better and better!

for me i think team GB did ok but we'll have to wait and see in the semi.

urugauy were terrible in actual midfield, up fornt they were decent.

fans let the country down by booing at national anthems and singling out one player. fifa won't be long about using ti against the uk. all 3 games suarez was booed. did it make him rubbihs or did it just make english fans look bad... hmmmm wonder about that

Yep I felt for Suarez, it did all feel a little pantomime though!
Not sure on Ramirez he seemed a bit hot headed and was he playing centre mid?

Yeah, I've looked out for him this tournament. Not been too impressed.

Makes me wonder if we are all hoping to sign him because of his name. Could he be just another Stewart Downing except with an exotic name?

    #152
  13. Certainly not a reason to sign him but... he scored a cracking freekick!

Is an exotic stuart downing not just kieran richardson?

I mean anyone outside of boro is exotic to them especially if they're all the way to sunderland to see them.
