Here are official facts: -We're 10th in the league -We've failed to win in 4 games -We've lost in the last 2 games -We've been performing quite badly on the pitch, performances well below par -We've only won 3 games in our last 10 -We've only had back 2 back wins in the league since September -We've failed to seize on getting the top spot in the group stages of Europe So what part of me being frustrated about all of that is me simply being negative? Nah, I'm not being negative, Arsenal are the one who are just being negative. Or as I said, should I look at all of that and say WOW brilliant! That's amazing! We should all be so positive about all of that. I'd love to know, how am I supposed to react to all of this? Erm, keep the faith? Which in other words means have blind optimism? And keep the faith in what exactly? That we'll turn things around and achieve a top 4 spot? Lol, as I've said before, I don't really consider that something to be proud off. So what exactly should the reaction to all of this be? My feelings will turn positive, once this Arsenal team start repaying the support of fans like me, and start achieving results and positive play on the pitch, simple as that. Wenger, and the players themselves, have said fans like me have a right to be angry, .
To be honest, we were expecting to lose today. Our reserves vs their 1st team. No contest. Plus Ramsey played, which is always a bad sign. I'd love to see our win percentage with him in the side, opposed to the percentage without him.
The people I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR are any Arsenal fans that travelled from England to Greece, to watch that abysmal match, what a waste of money.
Exactly, we expected to lose today, so imagine the positivity we'd feel with a win, it'd be something positive at least, you always need to start somewhere to get things going again. A win today would've been a breath of fresh air, finally, some positivity, and getting top spot in our group? The whole mood would automatically change, after an abysmal few performances, we just ended up getting top spot in our group! But instead, this negative vibe just carries on with another loss, and another poor performance. I don't know how else I'm supposed to react when the team has failed to win in the 4th game running?
Wasn't that bad of a match so stop overreacting. They knew he'd put out a weak side and that said weak side would probably lose so they got what they knew was coming.
Im longing for the days when our B team isnt sooooo poor that we just expect them to lose. In fact , as a (as some insist we still are ) a world class team , we should not even HAVE a B team , how many "world class " teams have a B team ? NONE , they have one and a half , A teams.
They got to watch Thomas Rosicky playing for 45 minutes. Paying to watch the little Mozart is never a waste of money. Proper footballer.
My mate Charlie has just sent me a picture from Dortmund please log in to view this image He's a $hity fan, but he's having a great time out there.
That was a TERRIBLE match. It wasn't a weak side, 7 of the 11 players were first team members: Shezny, Vermaelen, Jenkinson, Ramsey, OXO, Gervinho, and Coqualan is somewhere between the 2, he has featured in first team games, and is a regular on the bench, so he's not a team B player. Lastly, Wenger himself said it was a strong team, so are you saying Wenger's full of **** and has lost the plot in calling that a strong team? You're saying it was a weakened team, Wenger said otherwise, ;-).
What has happened to Arsenal , when we put out a side that will probably lose. ? take me now lord , take me now.
The B Teams of most top sides would not beat Olympiakos at home. It wasn't because the team is so poor we were expecting a loss, but rather because Olympiakos is a hard team to beat in Greece
Doesn't it worry you guys, that playing our B team (supposedly, since that wasn't a B team), automatically means that you expect a loss? That should be very very worrying to you if you're a real supporter of this club, rather than looking at that as some consolation to make you feel better as to why we lost. That simply reveals how WEAK the squad is.
It has happenedin past CL campaigns when we have nothing tomplay for but our opponents do. Don't act as if it was anything new. It was a meaningless game so I could care less about the result. Oh and 87 do you hoestly expect Wenger to come out and say the team is crap
Did the Citeh send the reserves tonite ? I would have made the big guns fly there and take the defeat , after all it was their mess, let them clean it up.
I'd love to go to the Westfallenstadion. Dortmund have the highest average attendance in the world, higher than both Spanish giants.
No, I think they had a pretty full strength team. My mate was saying that the Dortmund fans were giving Balotelli a ton of ****
I wouldn't say the performance was awful - the first half had some very good moments. There were postives as has been said: Vermaelen, Meade, Jenkinson, Rosicky. The problem was the negatives: Lack of variation, poor second half. Overall it's disappointing because it could have, and perhaps should have, gone better. Why Arshavin didn't play central and Oxo out wide I've no idea, Arshavin is clearly superior to him at AM. Tonight wasn't a catastrophe. The problem is, the sum of all parts is slowly becoming fairly awful. If this continues to Christmas the club will be reaching crisis point with Wenger as more and more fans are turning on him.
Fair play to Mancini for that then , why let the w@nkers that failed so miserably sit at home doing nothing . My heart bleeds for you Samir , it really does.
