The DNC and Hilary Clinton were fined for inaccurately reporting the use of campaign funds. They used the money to research their political opposition.
The $130,000 paid by Trump to Stormy Daniels was to cover up an affair - and his fixer, then attorney Michael Cohen was jailed in December 2018 after pleading guilty to campaign finance charges and lying to Congress, among other crimes.
If Trump broke the law, he needs to be punished - perhaps a simple fine would suffice, except he's been indicted on 30+ counts (perhaps other as yet unspecified financial crimes).
The DNC and Hilary broke campaign rules and got a fine, Cohen broke the law and lied under oath about doing so (plus he was convicted of other crimes too) . If Trump is convicted of 30+ counts of financial fraud, it remains to be seen what his punishment will be (or indeed what the multiple count are).
Moreover, this is the least serious of the possible indictments against your hero.
He'll soon be indicted for stealing hundreds of classified documents, inciting an insurrection riot, tax fraud in NY and interference with an election in Georgia.
