Just been reading reports of what different people thought of the Millwall fans' booing the 'taking of the knee' performance. I can't be bothered to type up all the quotes but words like 'racists' and 'hate' crop up quite often, but why? Merely voicing your opinion that this show is no part of football should not be vilified by anyone merely because they happen not to agree. Racism itself has no part in football (or anywhere else, come to that) but making a public show does nothing to support anyone or anything. Getting of your arse and doing something might just help. Tonight, I'm gong to lie in bed, in a 'straight' line to protest LGBT. There, that'll show 'em.
Here you go Shako. The numbers are from American justice department White 2476 45,72 % Black 1298 23,97 % Hispanic/Lation 902 16,65 % Others 219 4,04 % Unknown 521 9,62 % Total 5416
I would probably normalise those raw figure by considering the population of each of those groups. Or not, up to you.
I think there have been a few white artists recently who have got awards because they sing R+B etc etc But you're right it used to be only for black artists.
Remember the phrase Give him an inch and he’ll take a mile Well that’s what’s happening with all this BLM cra* Fun at PSG last night because 4th official called a black man black Black power salute given at the Millwall game clubs still taking the knee The authorities haven’t got much longer to get a grip on all this as it’s fast getting out of hand And before any one says I can’t use the term Black ask yourselves the question what does BLM stand for and what do they call that fist in the air salute Appears to me that some parts of society use the term black only when it suits them
Spot on. It's ironic that the blm movement which started because of so called inequality is now causing more divisions between the white and black community.
I'm so happy you said that, so keep that in mind and have a look at these numbers and normalise them Murder and nonnegligent manslaughte: White 44.11% Black 53.30% American Indian 1.01% Asian 1.35% Weapons (carrying, possessing, etc.): White 54.42% Black 43.31% American Indian 0.87% Asian 1.40% Robbery: White 43.46% Black 54.18% American Indian 1.01% Asian 1.30% Aggravated assaul: White 61.91% Black 33.69% American Indian 2.26% Asian 1.35%
Seems like the brexit talks are going as planned! The've had long enough to sort the **** out, useless feckers.
I aim to please , those are terrible statistics and indicative of something that is equally wrong in that society.
I read somewhere that the tactics employed were to discuss and agree the non-contentious issues first and then sort out the complex matters later. That strategy worked a treat
Interesting that the indicative does not appear (according to those statistics) to have the same effect upon the Indian, Hispanic or Asian communities. Unless it is counted in the white statistics (which would then skew that data if as we are led to believe that white society is inherently racist), the Hispanic community is at least 5.1% bigger than African American as a proportion of the US population.
That is a really good point where are the Latinos and Hispanics in these figures. I have an extract from the FBI, below, that shows similar data and relates to race and then gives a breakdown based on ethnicity. I don't fully understand how the table works but I assume the figures for ethnicity are a part of the total number.
I'm no expert but it appears as though adding Hispanic has been an afterthought. At @19% of the population Hispanic recorded rates of arrest for crimes are @ in that area. Bit high on some crimes but low on others (but not by much) and their arrest rate is within the +/- of their demographic. I would have thought it hard to argue the case of systemic White racism as a societal problem being causal in effecting the figures as you would surely see an uplift in those Hispanic figures but that doesn't appear to be the case.
