At some point Chesh somebody has to believe somebody. You and I are probably just about as good as one another using a search engine on the internet. The FBI on the other hand have been tasked to investigate them. They have used their resources and agents who are certainly more skilled than me and their director has given the above statement. I can't prove he's wrong, or for that matter right, but at some point one has to make a call based on probability and I would say he is probably going to be more right on this subject than me. All the things you've listed have happened but to use Antifa as a collective term to describe the perpetrators I think does a disservice to the investigators and risks being as ineffective as your parents classifying all the things that go bump in the night as the bogey man, when you were a child. PS I don't think it was half of America that was set on fire

What price a miraculous recovery thanks to his recently touted 'wonder drug', and a good dose of sympathy just before the upcoming election. Or too sick to be able to take part in any more "debates". Sincerely hope he hasn't got COVID, I would hate to see any more die from this disease, but this guy is just crooked enough and desperate enough to pull a stunt like this for his own gain.

Exactly know where you are coming from and to be honest it is a sad state of affairs when everything is questioned to such a degree and cynicism runs amok. If nothing else though it means he is in quarantine for a couple of weeks.

He's right, it's an ideal, but as Chesh said, someone or thing must be organising this anarchy. It's not just individuals happening to all turn up at the same place at the same time. Oh and you must have seen the pallets of bricks delivered, and the protest signs. I call it Antifa but it could be another group with the same goals. It certainly isn't White Supremacists.

I'm not trying to defend the violence at all. Wrapping it all up in an anonymous title somehow makes it more difficult to deal with, to me. There are legitimate grievances that need to be addressed in the US and this will never be done if legitimate protests and violence are all bracketed with the same description.
Now I understand where we differ. I'm not saying that Antifa demonstrate peacefully. I think they are responsible for the escalation. I think maybe 95% of demonstrators are peaceful. In the other 5% you have criminals and activists, looters and shooters. They are extremists.
Not at all. They all do which is why I read a lot of them. It's the only way to find out what is actually going on.
I agree except again I think they are just opportunistic looters, arsonists and criminals who use the protests as cover. To be honest as I said to Chesh I don't live there, I don't know if there is an organisation behind the violence but the FBI says no and as violence usually turns public opinion against the cause I would say no as well. You maybe right and it is Antifa but can you really say it is an organisation doing this that the FBI say don't exist?
