I'm not really a lefty, mate. Even if that's how I am cast on here (and tbf I do play up to that image). I dislike politicians who are lying, lazy charlatans who secretly hold the voters in utter contempt and a lot of the populists we see on stage at the moment are all of that. It's populism I don't like, not (say) conservatism. I've been a pragmatic voter all my life and could conceivably vote for any of the parties if they had the right leader and solutions.
Check in the mirror, if you've grown an annoying looking goatee beard and are wearing open toed sandals with socks and haver just asked the wife if there's anything vegan for dinner tonight........ you need help - call in a doctor, quickly, or better still, call in Chesh.
If you read the comments to the videos posted and the posts made, she opened up a huge can of worms. She made it about race and lied about the details. If you listen to her explanation of how the footage may have been flipped it makes no sense. I can't believe that so many news outlets would all flip the footage so you have to think that she did it. She also said that the driver was black when, not only, could the police not see his ethnicity, but he was clearly light skinned. She is guilty of race baiting which is a dangerous crime. Unfortunately for her it has backfired and the overwhelming reaction has been unsympathetic, not only because she comes across as the aggressor but also because more people support the police than the MSM make out. She wants to highlight stop and search. The facts are that stop and search is a fraction of what it was in 2010. Half of stop and search are carried out by the Met. We are told that black people are unfairly targeted because they are only 13% of the population but in London that is not the case. In Hackney, for example, only 36% of the population is white British (16% white other) so nearly half the population is non white. I wouldn't vote for Trump if there was a better candidate. That better candidate is certainly not Joe Biden. Picking Harris as his VP will lose even more of the average American vote. She had an affair with a married man twice her age to get her leg up into politics. America is a majority religious country
On DB, I have no idea on the video flipping thing - one thing I'd say is the initial media report I saw (it was a 'breaking news' report - sorry I forget on which tv channel) was accurate in that they said clearly she was a passenger. I was never in any doubt so was surprised to see the 'flipping' debate arise later. On Trump, I'd rather have a large sack of cement mix than him as President (which, I acknowledge, some would say describes Biden quite well). Trump meets exactly my criteria for being the wrong type of person to hold public office. As to what the great US electorate will do, search me. We'll find out, like we will on LUFC's transfers this summer.
Trump, I think, was a reaction to people turning against politicians. The MSM have it in for him but I think the USA dodged a bullet by not electing Hillary. I think Trump will get in again but I'm astounded at the calibre of the candidates. I see better candidates on both sides but as long as money is the deciding factor you're going to get a poor choice.
Al Begra is explained here. They call themselves simply Begra when not trading in the middle east. You're welcome. https://www.begra.eu/
At least I know when I lose, some think they have won when they’ve just been totally shafted. Don’t you.
Homophobe as well as racist, eh? I understand the racist part, given you’re 95% Welsh. But what could the reason be for the homophobia, I wonder......
