I hope their job is not to literally sit in Brussels, as the European parliament only meet 4 or 5 times a month. Also as the UK MEP's attendance at these meetings is bottom but one of all the EU countries is it really worth us being a member?
Yes and they meet for that in Strasbourg not Brussels. The real work for MEPs is done in the committees which is in Brussels. Labour's MEPs have one of the best attendance records in Europe, UKIP's MEPs have one of the worst. I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater especially not if that baby was the flabby bollock faced baby turd that is Farage (I'd rather increase the bath water until the ****er drowned).
The EU parliament sit in Brussels but once a month they have to relocate to Strasbourg as France retain a veto to block any move to Brussels full time. It is thought this costs £130 million a year to carry this out. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/10565686/The-farce-of-the-EU-travelling-circus.html So the second point I was right then, "Also as the UK MEP's attendance at these meetings is bottom but one of all the EU countries"
Yes you are correct but at an average of 85% voting attendance of MEPs it's a lot higher than the 65% who on average attend to vote in House of Commons or the 30% who attend to vote in the House of Lords.
Good to see we are getting our monies worth, a MEP costs three times as much as a MP and are paid nearly £15000 a year more than a MP. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/pol...m-a-year-each-three-times-as-much-as-MPs.html
So the divorce bill is quoted as in the range £40 billion - £59 billion. But then you read the small print and its actualy in the range £59 billion to £100 billion and we still wont be given access to trade talks until we cave in on the Irish border or start another Irish republican war.. Good job they need us more than we need them, eh!
You are obviously the man in the know, could you please pass on the information to Michel Barnier as he has just made a speech saying there has been no decision on the cost of the divorce bill.
There has been no decision made on the bill, Barnier is correct as usual. That’s why I provided the range of figures I did. You suggesting there won’t be a bill north of £50 billion then?
Which you were advocating if they gave us a bill.. When I said months ago there would be a bill and how much it would be you denied it and said they need us more than we need them or some such bollocks.
stop making it up,never said that.Happy with a hard Brexit myself, but have always expected we would pay a bill without a hard Brexit.Think you actually believe the stories you make up.
And still be right about where Brexit is heading. The establishment are getting very desperate they have even wheeled out a royal wedding to distract attention from the **** hitting the fan.
They had to bring the wedding forward as we aint letting immigrants in soon, maybe she can pick fruit or clean cars.
would have been better to deport the ginger mutant produced by aN illicit bonk between an army major and a Sloane slapper.
